Our Commitment

Foul Play Sports Bar & Grill wants everyone to be able toenjoy a game, a meal, and a drink with us, whether that happens on our websiteor in our dining room. We are committed to making both accessible to peoplewith disabilities, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a boxto check.

Conformance Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines(WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. Theseguidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with awide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech,cognitive, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Current conformance status: partially conformant. Thismeans some parts of our website do not yet fully meet the standard. We areworking on the gaps described below.

We state this honestly rather than claiming full compliance.Claiming full conformance when parts of a site fall short is both inaccurateand unhelpful to the people who rely on these features.

What We Have Done

Steps we have taken on foulplaysportsbargrill.com include:

•    Structuring pages with proper heading hierarchy soscreen reader users can navigate by section

•    Providing text alternatives for meaningful images

•    Ensuring the site is navigable by keyboard alone,without requiring a mouse

•    Making the menu readable as text rather than only as animage, so it can be read aloud by assistive technology and enlarged withoutloss of quality

•    Building a searchable menu so guests can find items byname or ingredient rather than scanning a long list, which helps people withcognitive and visual disabilities as well as anyone in a hurry

•    Designing the site to work at a range of screen sizesand zoom levels

•    Working toward sufficient color contrast between textand background

•    Using descriptive link text rather than "clickhere"

•    Labelling form fields so their purpose is announced byassistive technology

Known Limitations

We want to be upfront about where we currently fall short:

•    Online ordering. Our online ordering runs on athird-party platform we do not control. Its accessibility is determined by thatprovider. If you have difficulty ordering online, please call us at281-824-4079 and we will take your order by phone.

•    Embedded third-party content. Maps, social mediafeeds, and similar embedded content may not meet the same standard as the restof the site.

•    PDF documents. Any downloadable menus ordocuments may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Contact us and we willprovide the information in an accessible format.

•    Decorative imagery and background video. Somedecorative elements may not have complete text alternatives, though they carryno information necessary to use the site.

•    Older content. Content published before thisstatement may not meet current standards. We are reviewing it.
